This is the German artist’s first venture into the Non-Fungible Token market.
Wolfgang Voigt, Kompakt’s co-founder, has created a limited series of digital artworks that have been minted as NFTs on the Foundation crypto-based marketplace.
The series itself features horses against a backdrop of vibrant graphics, loops, and what are described by Voigt as ‘stoic-minimalistic repetitions’, while it combines pop and expressionism. Inspired by ‘W.I.R.’, his 1999 record as Wasserman, the series is set to go up for auction today.
To mark the occasion, Voigt has also released a new ‘Kyptodance’ remix of ‘W.I.R.’ that is now available for download via the Kompakt web.
Voigt will also be gifting the highest bidder for each artwork with a special video artwork as a bonus.
