Mike Mago selects 10 tracks on rotation

Hailing from the city of Amsterdam, Mike Mago is best known for the 2014 single ‘Outlines’, a collaboration with Canadian electronic outfit Dragonette that reached #8 in the UK Singles charts. Since then he has released a steady stream of singles and remixes, also performing at the likes of Creamfields, Tomorrowland, and Ministry of Sound. Now, the Dutch DJ is behind the drop of his brand-new single ‘Take Me Home’. Steeped in powerful, poignant emotion, ‘Take Me Home’ is a rousing combination of impassioned vocals, glistening synths, and restrained breaks. It is the first single release from Mike’s forthcoming album, out next year.

To celebrate the release of his new single ‘Take Me Home’, Mike Mago selects his favorite tracks of the moment.

1. Louis Cole – Failing In A Cool Way

“This track has 2 things I love in a track. Fun and boundary-pushing. My number one by far atm.”

2. TSHA – Power

“I love sampled tracks and this is such a jammmm! Somewhere it has this Royskopp – Eple vibe to it. Amazing!”

3. Mafro – Alright

“I love this deep yet funky lo-fi vibe. Vocals are amazing too!”

4. Jeshi – 3210 (Ross From Friends Remix)

“I get goosebumps from this one every time. It feels like a modern-day ‘Born Slippy’.”

5. Kessler – Aspect

“I’m just very addicted to these tape-saturated drums and the groove of the whole track.”

6. Leon Vynehall – Endless (1)

“WHO DOESN’T LOVE LEON? “

7. Boysnoise & Skream – TRip

“2 of my heroes combined make for a beast of a track. It’s such a banger!”

8. KETTAMA – B O D Y

“I love most of what KETTAMA does. It’s so pumpkin’ and rough. I like that a lot.”

9. Lucky Charmes – Corneria

“I’m a sucker for a good amount of swing in a beat and chords that make up the lead.”

10. Anish Kumar – Sadhana

“I love this worldly grooviness! Such a dancefloor killer.”
