To celebrate his latest release on Crosstown Rebels, ‘Uhuru’, Dennis Cruz selects his 10 favorite collaborations.

1. Dennis Cruz, Los Suruba – Uhuru (Original Mix)

“This is my brand new collaboration and the title track from my latest EP ‘Uhuru’ with my good friends Los Suruba, which has just been released on Crosstown Rebels. We produced this track in Ibiza last summer at their studio and features some more afro-influenced sounds than you’d usually find in one of my productions. I loved working with the guys so it was great to see this one released!”.

2. Spencer K & Dennis Cruz – Impacto (Original Mix)

“This is one of my favorite tracks in general. It was so easy to work with Spencer K and we finished up this track so fast. I’ve played this one out a lot and it always makes people crazy”.

3. GOLFOS – Now Jazz (Midnight Mix)

“This track is one from my duo with PAWSA, GOLFOS, and we actually made it in Ibiza after a party at our villa in 2018. We sampled ‘The Girl From Ipanema’ and added the voice of Casablanca, so it’s a little different to the usual and it means you can listen to this track not only whilst you’re at the clubs or an after-party, but also elsewhere. I like to listen to it driving or cooking.”

4. Dennis Cruz & Ian Ludvig – Black Bird (Original Mix)

“Again, I love this one – the pianos the voice and synths create a really cool vibe. I produced this track with Ian in the new studio here in Madrid”.

5. Chus & Ceballos, Dennis Cruz – The Sun (Drums Mix)

“An absolute dancefloor killer. I loved the process of producing this track with Chus & Ceballos because I’d admired the guys as artists for such a long time. Great human beings and again, a track that was a lot of fun to produce”.

6. Dennis Cruz, Iuliano Mambo – Phantom (Original Mix)

“This track was produced in my old studio in Madrid back in 2015 – it’s a slick minimal and dubby track with sharp percussion throughout”.

7. Dennis Cruz & Yamil – La Negra Cimba (Dub Mix)

“This is the first track I ever made with my mate Yamil back in 2014 and we released it on Saved Records. It’s a more paired back record that combines Latin vocals and tribal elements.”

8. GOLFOS – . FEELING GOOD (JBL MIX)

“A more minimal and stripped back track with PAWSA under our GOLFOS alias again. This sounds so dope at the club! Amazing bassline and a track that I love to start a set with”.

9. Dennis Cruz, Iuliano Mambo -Kids (Original Mix)

“This one is another track from back in 2014 with my friend Iuliano. This cut makes me so happy, and it’s perfect for pool parties or day time events”.

10. Dennis Cruz, Yamil – Beautiful Trip (Original Mix)

“My final choice is a second collaboration with Yamil. For this one, we came together to create a deep house track with bright melodies and vocals cross the track, which makes it the ideal track for a sunset”.
