Electronic music trio The Sabres of Paradise has announced their reunion after a three-decade hiatus. The group, renowned for their 1990s work, will embark on a series of live performances in 2025—their first shows since disbanding in 1995.

The reunion tour kicks off with a performance at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival next June. As the band extends its comeback across various venues, fans can expect more dates to be announced in the coming months.

In an emotional statement shared on their official Instagram account, the band expressed their excitement and revealed the heartfelt motivation behind their reunion: “Our decision to reform stems from a deep desire to honor and solidify the legacy of our beloved brother Andrew Weatherall—a visionary and musical genius whose absence we feel profoundly every day. We hope our performances will serve as a fitting tribute to his immense talent and influence.”

The Sabres of Paradise, formed in 1992 by Andrew Weatherall, Jagz Kooner, and Gary Burns, had a brief but influential career. They released three albums and several singles on Warp Records, significantly impacting electronic music before disbanding in 1995.

This reunion comes four years after Andrew Weatherall’s untimely death in February 2020. Weatherall’s enduring impact on electronic music makes this reunion a poignant tribute to his legacy.
