The artists sought to capture a timeless work on their first EP.
Grammy-nominated Canadian artist James Teej, and Chicago-based renowned producer Nick Stoynoff, have joined their paths through a new project: Teej_Noff. The duo announced their first release on Guy J’s boutique label, Armadillo Records.
Both artists decided to take a step into the unknown and find an alternative path with this project. Their first EP, ‘Nema / Scaramanga’, has two songs. The first cut, ‘Nema’, is a breakbeat based track with otherworldly chords. In the second and last, ‘Scaramanga’, Teej and Stoynoff create a world of abstract sounds, mysterious atmospheres, downtempo rhythms, and elegant sophistication.
