Back in May, Kennedy One released his debut album, ‘Metropolis’, a journey of introspection. through emotional downtempo, deep techno, and dark sounds. Now, Joe McBride, better known as Machester’s Synkro, a staple in the UK bass and electronica culture for over a decade, takes on the artist’s ‘Ocean of Mine’, the evocative, cinematic opener from the LP.
Synkro’s hypnotic take on ‘Ocean of Mine’ combines atmospheric ambient elements with a characteristic pulsing beat that pays homage to McBride’s drum’n’bass roots. Unfurling slowly and without haste, he paints a lush dreamscape, perfect for drifting away into the subconscious.
