New monetization options.
SoundCloud just unveiled a new tool that will allow distributing tracks on the most popular streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music. Users will receive 100% of the royalties generated.
At the moment, the service is being tested for SoundCloud Premier users, and the distribution will be free, beyond the usual costs of Pro and Pro Unlimited services.
To apply for this option the users must be over 18 years old, have a Pro or Pro Unlimited account, own the music rights, have a minimum of 1000 plays in their last month’s account including countries where the platform has its subscription and advertising services available and has not been denounced for copyrights in the past.
