Mind Enterprises, the sonic and aesthetic universe of Turin raised producer Andrea Tirone, will release his club-ready italo-disco banger ‘La Vita Di Mare’ on September 17 via his new label Bandama. This is his second release on the label following ‘Girls & Boys’ earlier in the summer.

Featuring an irresistible synth refrain and a bouncing holiday-disco bassline, the track is a further foray into the world of vintage synths, classic italo-disco, and pure 80s inspired joy. Mind Enterprises recently collaborated with Purple Disco Machine on their track ‘Exotica’, and his track ‘Idol’ was sampled by Kungs to become the huge summer hit ‘Never Going Home’.

Speaking about ‘La Vita Di Mare’, Mind Enterprises said: “The Bass line and Dx7 synth riff evoked Café Mambo Ibiza, memories so I called it ‘La Vita Di Mare’ (Life by the sea). It sounds like the perfect accompaniment to summery Mediterranean club nights that we’re all dreaming of.”

Mind Enterprises’ music production set-up, which largely forgoes computer software for hardware like Akai MPCs and Elka drum machines, leans palpably on the live aspect of music-making.

“This is where I come from and what I’m used to as a musician” explains Tirone, who began life in an Italian post-punk band in 2005, before launching his solo career in 2012 after moving to London, and later Gran Canaria where he now based. Since then, he has released a clutch of acclaimed cult EPs. When playing live, Mind Enterprises becomes a duo as Andrea is joined by his keyboard extraordinaire Roberto.

This year, Mind Enterprises launched his own label Bandama. The imprint will initially carry his own italo disco inflected output, with releases from other artists planned to follow suit. Bandama takes its name from a quenched volcano in Mind Enterprises adopted home of Gran Canaria, chosen to embody the fast-moving flow of italo-disco heatwaves. Mind Enterprises said: “Through Bandama, I’m thrilled to be able to release my own music and a selection of time-honouring records, straight from the gold-flashing, hairy-chest era of 80s Italo.”

Release date: September 17th, 2021.
