‘Don’t Stop’ by Lempo & Oskar Jay on TRAX Records.
British producer Lempo joins forces with his up and coming Polish counterpart, Oskar Jay as they follow in the footsteps of house music royalty to deliver ‘Don’t Stop’ on legendary Chicago label TRAX Records.
Few labels are as synonymous with house music as TRAX Records. A major player in the development of the scene. The label was founded in 1984 and swiftly went on to give us such cult classics as “Your Love” by Frankie Knuckles, “Can You Feel It” by Mr. Fingers and “The House Music Anthem (Move Your Body)” by Marshall Jefferson.
Manchester’s Lempo also has a rich history of production and remix credits, including artists such as General Levy, K-Klass, MC Flipside, Princess Superstar and Snoop Dogg. ‘The Party Starter’ as he’s also know, is the host of ‘Twisted Melon’ on Cafe Mambo Radio and the founder of the Applique Music imprint. Lempo is already having an impressive Summer with the hit single “Dance Without A Reason” alongside Roland Clark on the iconic Strictly Rhythm label, his “Open House” single featuring Chuck Roberts is also due to drop on Black Hole Recordings.
Meanwhile, Oskar Jay has also been busy growing his repertoire with collaborations alongside Late Than Ever, Lucca Lazza and Simon Shane. Releasing on imprints such as Fyasko Music, Tactical Records and Whore House in the process. Earlier this year, Oskar’s “Obsession” single with Brunno Kauffmann on Applique Music broke into Beatport’s Top 100 Hype Chart.
Together the pair have cooked-up a blend of house and tech with a mesmeric sub-bass, dulcet synth tones and a sprinkle of sample magic from the Roland Dance Module (M-DC1). Lempo’s ever-present jackin’ vocal work and Oskar Jay’s signature rolling percussion make ‘Don’t Stop’ a perfect slice of underground for the graveyard shift.
‘Don’t Stop’ is on general release to all stores and streaming networks from August 14th.
