Renaissance welcomes back James Harcourt with the fourth instalment in his journey with the label. Having previously released the ‘Quartz’ and ‘Refraction’ EPs, alongside appearing on the Merin VA series and a hat-trick of remixes, he’s no stranger indeed. This time he brings his ‘Knopfleur EP’ to the table, which is arguably his strongest yet.
James has been supported by Tale of Us, Sasha, Adriatique, Marino Canal, John Digweed and Hernán Cattáneo. He has released tracks on Sincopat, Selador and ICONYC. This year he’s dropped EPs and singles with the highly respected Siamese and Global Underground; he’s arguably one of the most in-demand producers currently at work in the melodic spectrum.
‘Knopfleur EP’ takes inspiration from a small club in London. The four tracks push the boundaries of MH&T taking it to cool and classy places; it’s both modern and experimental – one of the most exciting releases of the year. James Harcourt has dared to defy convention, proving once again why he remains on an ever-increasing ascent to the top of the melodic pyramid.
