French artist GVRL is up next on Diversions Music with three glistening house cuts entitled ‘Safer Places’ EP which includes a remix from m.O.N.R.O.E.
Pianist and music lover since her early ages, GVRL is an electronic music artist from France. Formerly known as, Elize, she launched her DJing career in 2006 before beginning music production a few years later releasing various EPs on labels such as Deep Tech Records, Defected Music, Unpleased Records and more, charted by renowned artists across the music scene. In 2018, Elize is launched a new alias, GVRL and has released an array of tracks and EPs entering the Beatport Top 100 on numerous occasions. She recently launched gvrlrec as a platforms her own material and now joins Oxia and Nicolas Masseyeff’s Diversions imprint following releases from Airbas, Yannick Baudino, Ohmme and the label bosses themselves.
‘Safer Places’ kicks off proceedings with deep, resonating kicks balanced delightfully with orbiting modulations and euphoric vocals providing a vibrant atmosphere to begin. Miami’s m.O.N.R.O.E. who is known for outings of Get Physical, Cuttin’ Headz, Desert Hearts and Little Helpers provides a revolving remix of ‘Safer Places’ deploying shimmering percussion, minimal aesthetics and sparkling melodies underneath whilst ‘Mate’ rounds off the EP bumping bass grooves, hypnotic atmospheres and shining synths which harmonise together gracefully.
