10 Steps North make a flying start to the year, with a label debut for rising UK talent Gallago, who delivers a 3 track EP of epic proportions. Having previously appeared on iconic labels such as Anjunadeep, this release represents somewhat of a change in direction for his sound – channeling his undoubted studio prowess into 3 raw and dance floor driving club cuts.
The title track ‘Golden Dawn’ draws you in immediately, with a pulsating bass line, huge kick & catchy percussion before an emotive female vocal & raw lead synth bring us into epic territory. Secondly we have ‘Astral Plain’ another magnificently produced track, slightly deeper in style but again – tailor made for the dance floor. Closing out the EP is ‘Heaven’, a stomping progressive track with a memorable lead synth line full of character, reminiscent of some of our favourite early 90s trance records
