“The organic sounds of Four Tet or Bonobo, with wider influences like Techno & UK Garage” – Complex Music “A producer we look forward to watching in the future”Clash

“It’s very Studio 54, but probably a bit more Vice City. Either way, it’s a hit.”Indieshuffle

East London producer FNP returns to his love for vocal driven, 80’s influenced Nu-Disco on the incredible new single ‘Nothing Serious’. A powerful groove enforced with a pulsating, Italo bassline and driving with uplifting synth chords, the whole track is brought to life with the classic vocal sample.

Since beginning his musical journey playing drum and bass events at University, the multi-faceted producer FNP has added many strings to his musical career. Aside from his productions, he’s spent years working in marketing roles in the industry, as well as founding labels Slinkiemusic and Bottled Sauce, picking up some notable fans including Teki Latex, Avalon Emerson, Ross From Friends, Loxy & Resound & Palace.

On his own projects, the London producer has gained support from Thump Magazine, Clash, Datatransmission, Indieshuffle, Dummy Magazine and Complex with many more following suit. His releases in the last few years have pushed the envelope for leftfield techno, synthwave and house with significant support from streaming platforms. Across Spotify his recent releases have picked up over 700k streams worldwide, with Amazon Music also supporting across their ‘Electric Disco’ and ‘Progressive Dance’ playlist.

On his new single, we hear FNP employ a pulsating, chugging bassline to provide the foundation for an effortlessly disco-leaning new single. Full of rich analogue synth elements and glorious improvisation, it’s an infectious piece that’s filled with nods to synthwave and nu-disco.

With ‘Nothing Serious’ I wanted to create a track with a lower tempo and an infectious groove. I’ve also been working a lot with vocal samples recently and found a vocal hook that worked perfectly with the chugging bassline I wrote on the Minimoog, everything tied together perfectly and, voila”

Release date: November 11th, 2021.
