We welcome back on our label our A & R of Leisure Music, Mr. Darksidevinyl with this epic Afro House release called ‘Dahabeya’. On this EP he teamed up with one of his best Egyptian friends – ‘Mizology’.
‘Dahabeya’ means golden and is the first track on this EP. Starting it off with a powerful muffled kick and tuned oud strings used as an underlying melodic percussion. Various percussive elements such as bongos und congas are weaved in. A groovy bassline and piano chords open up this golden journey, giving way to a nice synth melody followed by a very nice progression resulting in a lovely Kalimba transition. A positive and upbeat vibe make up the whole track and set the stage for you to open your Afro House set.
The second track is called Watch your Back and takes you in, from the get go, into a deeper more progressive Afro Feeling. A wonderful deep kick and synth progression picks you up to show you the way straight through the jungle. Synth elements from tuned saw stabs and a fast percussion progress this track forward to a mesmerizing break and great build up, resulting in a classic Darkside drop, consisting of strong bass melody and a percussive explosion.
Watch your Back is for your more upbeat Afro House set and can be also used well in any progressive set or waived in your melodic techno set.
