Its been a hell of a ride on the swinging glitter ball of the modern music scene for BOYS’ SHORTS of late. The Greek duo, made up of former superstar music blogger Vangelis and electronic artist Tareq, have enjoyed a positive and productive couple of years since exploding from the islands armed with a wealth of exciting new music.
Boys Shorts have squeezed more into the last 24 months than Mr Universe into his second-skin budgie smugglers, featuring their music on an already impressive roster of labels including Permanent Vacation, He-She-They and Cormac’s Polari. With a deepening international diary, support slots for Hot Chip in the can, and a super-fun pop edits series taking off, Boys Shorts, as their name suggests, are riding high and tighter than ever.
Today they make their Pets debut with the wonderful ‘Peaches & Pools’ EP. A collection of well oiled heaters, bold in balearia and backed by two equally naughty reworks from Cooper Saver and Longhair.
Here we dip our toes into a sonic oasis of sunshine vibes and lounging sounds on title track ‘Peaches & Pools’.
