Electronic supergroup Better Lost Than Stupid aka Martin Buttrich, Davide Squillace and Matthias Tanzmann released their acclaimed debut album Wild Slide in September 2019, alongside the first single ‘Right Now’, which was described as a “genuine masterpiece” by Mixmag. 2020 will see a series of remixes from various album tracks released, with the first coming from Swiss newcomer Black Circle, who provides a compelling remix of
‘Right Now’.
Better Lost Than Stupid took their collaborative project to the next level following the release of their debut album, receiving praise from the likes of Clash, Resident Advisor, BBC Radio 1, Marco Carola, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Kolsch and more. Alongside this, the group took their live show to the stage with headline performances at Arcadia during Miami Winter Music Conference, a sold-out show at Koko in London, Amnesia, Circoloco at DC10, BPM Festival and Razzmatazz in Barcelona.
On Black Circle’s remix of ‘Right Now’ he builds on the colour-soaked melody of the original, adding his signature vibrancy with modulated synths and rich keys, which complement CHANEY’s vocals and create another euphoric piece.
In a short space of time Black Circle has already caught the attention of some of the biggest players in the industry,
joining Sabb’s record label RADIANT in 2019, his tracks ‘Autumn’ and ‘Foolish’ received support from Black Coffee, Nic Fanciulli and Âme. Then joining Nic Fanciulli’s SAVED imprint he released the massive dance floor anthem Journey, hitting number one on Beatport in its first week of release. An artist to keep an eye on, this year will see Black Circle collaborate with Nic Fanciulli, Matthias Tanzmann and Camelphat.
