With the outmost pleasure we welcome back Balata on our label with an outstanding Afro House EP called Indlela.
This time he teamed up with a very talented producer from Zimbabwe called K.O.D. and together they created 2 powerful tracks each one of them featuring original vocals from different artists.
The first track we want to introduce is called ‘I have learnt’. The song is a mesmerizing and hypnotic voyage starting off with strong and deep kick and percussive rhythm as well as underlying piano synth chords. ‘I have learnt’ features the voice of Thandoe, a beautiful female artist and poet from Zimbabwe. Her lyrics are intertwined and progress throughout the whole track bringing forward a message that life is always evolving and changing. The whole track carries a very deep and pumping vibe that gets you grooving and is the perfect song starter for your deeper and more progressive afro set.
Indlela opens in classic Balata style. Strong pumping kick and deep elements, as well as percussive elements, open up the track. A heavy e-guitar cuts in to accelerate the track with synths and sound FX. Omega’s vocals are introduced and drive the track forward. Further hats and shakers are introduced and give the track a somewhat samba groove with a multitude of drum fills. A high energetic, upbeat dance track for your main floor Afro House or Latin DJ set.
