With the reopening of clubs and festivals, Avidus present their debut EP for Oddity, loaded with tracks ready for the dancefloor.
The lead track, ‘Prometheus’, is a weapon for the peak time of the set. Full of catchy groove, a synth hook that characterizes their productions, which slowly adds tension to the construction of the track, leading into a break full of melodies and chords that will give you goosebumps.
The second cut, ‘Clavigo’, is characterized by a melody that resembles an arpeggio, throughout the whole track, with darker stab sounds appearing and complementing the development of this one.The pads and chords that characterize Avidus appear during the break, filling us with emotions throughout the rest of the track.
‘Wanderer’s Nightsong’ is the next one, where the identity of Avidus is reflected instantly from the first play. A very catchy synth, crunchy sounds, and percussions that play between each other, creating an atmosphere of a danceable trip. Always adding their beautiful textures and chord progressions further in the track, giving a breath of fresh air and emotions.
For the remix duties, the French brothers, Betical, approach reworking ‘Wanderer’s Nightsong’ into a breaks track. Using elements of the original, reworking it into their own version and adding new synths and elements that create a beautiful remix.
