ODTD047 sees the Øddity debut of Arude and Sincz – two artists that have been building an impressive set of releases on labels like Renaissance, Radikon, and Eklektisch.
The title track ‘Impressor’ sets a restless addictive groove from the start, seizing the listener’s full attention before the cascading shuddering arp lines hit. The breakdown and soothing keys provide a brief respite before the deep sub-bass enters making the club shudder to its foundations.
‘Rhyme’ takes us further into Arude and Sincz’s futuristic melodic techno world – where edgy stabs, dark keys, and rising synth lines collide with fragmented atomic notes for maximum impact.
‘So What ?’ rounds off the EP very nicely, allowing Arude and Sincz to stretch out artistically. This flowing dance-floor-focused gem still has the driving beats that remain a constant theme, yet is arranged in a way that transforms the lush synth breaks into a launch pad for escalating intensity.
On this evidence, we have two fresh exciting, and innovative artists that are part of a new wave of melodic techno, electronic, and beyond.
