Andres Campo returns to Suara, this time collaborating with friends Ramiro Lopez and Rafa Barrios to deliver the power-packed ‘Panajachel’. This is the first time the three friends have worked together and from the result, it certainly won’t be the last.
“While I was with Ramiro producing another EP, Rafa Barrios come to my house to grab a beer. The studio was connected so we just decided to do something the three of us’ Andres says. We have different production styles; Rafa is more tech house and Ramiro and I more techno, so we knew the result would be different. When searching for some vocals we find this one from a mantra, Icaro, from a Latin singer. We wanted to use it but be sure to deliver something cool and not cheesy, so we arranged a proper groove with a kick and some toms, the rest is some layers fading. We wanted to leave the track as pure as possible so kept it simple; the result is something special and different than what we usually do by ourselves. It’s our first collab together and we hope not the last one, as we are very close friends and its always a pleasure to share time out of the DJ booth. Thanks to Suara for believing in it!”.
