Techno legend Richie Hawtin has recently announced that his concept ‘From Our Minds’ will be making a stop at the Knockdown Center in New York on October 21st, 2023.
The ‘From Our Minds’ tour takes its slogan and ethos from Hawtin’s ’90s label imprint Plus 8 and its ‘From Our Minds To Yours’ slogan, connecting back to the early days of techno.
This particular gig in New York will feature up-and-coming techno talent, along with an independent venue, promoter, and group of performers committed to honoring the legacy of techno while also pushing the genre forward. The tour is dedicated to collaborating with independent local promoters who have a deep appreciation for techno music’s history and its future sustainability.
On this occasion, the lineup consists of a diverse and talented group of artists, including Canadian musician Barbosa, DJ/producer Jay York, and emerging artist Lindsey Herbert, as well as Declan James, Decoder, Henry Brooks, Huey Mnemonic, machìna, Michelle Sparks, and Tyl.
