Los Angeles-based producer and head of the Tabula Rasa label, RamonPang, has unveiled his latest album, ‘Life Cycle Waves.’
In this album, RamonPang combines the contrasting facets of his musical identity: dynamic, high-energy bootleg remixes created for the dance floor, and serene, reflective elements inspired by nature.
The LP features calming melodies layered over intricate, constantly shifting drum patterns, creating a soundscape where emotive melodies act as rhythmic anchors against a backdrop of vibrant, pulsating drums.
The journey starts with ‘Run Algae’ and ends with ‘We Smiled Together,’ both rhythmically rich yet whimsically playful. The tracks ‘Waves Crashing’, ‘A Vast Expanse’, and ‘Be With Me’ masterfully meld vintage glitch hop and drill n bass with jazz and ambient samples. The energy peaks with ‘Daze’, ‘Nothing to Figure Out’, and ‘Third Freeze’, each track highlighting dynamic synth solos, engaging drum patterns, and personal samples.
RamonPang is recognized for his diverse musical styles. His energetic bootleg remixes have been acknowledged and employed by industry leaders like Skrillex, Four Tet, and Fred again.. during their 2023 New York performances.
