Known for their search to break pre-established patterns and molds, the Brazilian record label dsrptv rec has just released their new 7″ vinyl, a work that brings the signature sounds of Felipe Bortoloti, aka Nørus.
Titled ‘Patches’, the work conceived by this fellowship demonstrates the artist’s dedicated job in composing tracks that take us across contemporary borders and mix his personal references and influences and deliver an ethereal, plural, and engaging experience.
In true outsider music style, the sounds are ruled by syncopated beats, synthesizers, and distortions, showing a perspective of the current moment experienced by the producer. In this cultural alignment, the meeting of Nørus with dsrptv conceives a solid work, with sounds elaborated to primacy and originality. Innovative in a wide sense, it was through this search for the distinguished that this collaboration reinforces the label’s objective of always presenting listeners with the different possibilities that music carries.
