Australian electronic duo Midnight Pool Party, consisting of Darren Morilla and Oliver Dela Cruz, has just unveiled their latest single, ‘One Day’. This new release marks a return to their classic disco sound.
The track features Sydney artist Nick Pes, marking a milestone as the first-ever guest appearance on a Midnight Pool Party song. This collaboration adds a fresh dimension to the duo’s signature style, blending their disco roots with new creative energies.
Darren of Midnight Pool Party shares insight into the song’s creation: “This song is about forbidden love. You’ll hear the verses are a confession of feelings you wish you could say out loud, and the chorus is an admission to yourself that all these words are just wishful thinking.”
Nick Pes reflects on the collaboration, “I think of this track as being about a craving for that feeling of being seen by the one you’re crushing on. Our deep desire to connect. I loved working on this track with the boys.”
