Parisian DJ and producer Marst delivers a new EP on French label My Vision Records, which includes one original track, ‘Moonraker’, along with remixes by GruuvElement and youANDme. The collection is composed of full-bodied tech house cuts that are powerful and high-energy.
The original track sets the mood for the collection with a big punchy kick and a driving bassline while it also draws drama from its huge theatrical-type synth pads that make the song gradually uplifting. GruuvElement’s remix grasps a cheerful take on the piece with a more traditional tech house beat backed by tribal percussion loops and trippy vocal samples. Finally, the remix by youANDme represents possibly the most compelling track of the three with a catchy lead synth melody and mental percussion loops that come and go filling the track with random surprises.
Originally spotted by Laurent Garnier, Marst (real name Martial Thebault), continues to produce tracks that are well suited for the big-room dance floors and while the remixes are diverse enough, all tracks share the same dancefloor shaking qualities.
