When an established label like Carl Cox’s Intec releases two EP’s from a relatively unknown artist in a space of six months, then you know that there is something special about their talent.
In January of 2018 Luca De-Santo dropped an EP on Intec having come from nowhere in terms of previous high profile releases, and although it was a good EP it could of easily been a flash in the pan, but his follow up suggests this is the beginning of something quite special.
Artists like Patrick Topping exploded onto the scene with a meteoric rise following early EP’s on high Profile labels, and perhaps Luca will do the same in the world of techno?
The above may be an open-ended question that only time will answer, but Luca De Santo’s second EP titled ‘False Dedication’ is an outstanding two tracker with tough grooves and captivating melodies.
Dark and uplifting, his skill of fusing contrasting moods is something that only a few can master, but done properly the output is something that always works on the dancefloor.
In particular the second track ‘Roll With Me’ has really caught our attention with its epic pads and looming bass sounds that boom from the bottom end. Captivating and almost storytelling, its certainly got what some might call the X Factor.
