Patrice Bäumel has unveiled a 9-hour segment of his recent 12-hour solo performance at Montreal’s Stereo  club. This set, now available on the artist’s  SoundCloud profile, stands as a testament to his artistic prowess and endurance.

The marathon session, which marks a significant milestone in Bäumel’s career as his longest solo performance to date, showcases not only his technical skill but also his profound connection with the venue. Bäumel has often cited Stereo  as his favorite club worldwide, making this extended set particularly meaningful.

In a strategic move to enhance the listening experience, the German artist chose to exclude the initial two hours of the set from the recording. This decision was made to ensure a more cohesive and engaging flow for his audience. However, due to an unexpected technical glitch—the recorder’s batteries depleting—the final hour of this musical journey remains uncaptured.

Reflecting on the experience, Bäumel shared, “There is nowhere to hide in long sets. They push my limits, both mentally and physically. I learn a lot about crowd control, storytelling and managing my thoughts and emotions. Nights like this help me become a better artist, which is all that matters to me at this point.”
