British DJ and producer Norman Cook, known to all as Fatboy Slim, revealed a new installment of the ‘Back To Mine’ series. The collection is focused on sounds of funk and soul, and in this, we can hear some rarities, among which is included the 1975 classic by Camille Yarborough, ‘Take Yo Praise’, which was sampled for his iconic 1998 hit-single ‘Praise You’.
‘Over the years there has been a lot of action in my life. Lots of friends, lovers, and lunatics who congregated after the clubs closed to laugh, share and exchange ideas and tunes, and generally fix the world. This is a collection of the soundtrack from those sessions. It’s music for the head and not just for the hips’, Cook said in a statement about the release.
‘Back To Mine’ was born in 1999, with the purpose of sharing a selection of tracks that you would expect to hear in the homes of different artists, and has featured music from Faithless, Nightmares On Wax, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, and more.
