Techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson revives his iconic e-Dancer project, collaborating with his son Dantiez on their newly released single ‘Melodica.’ This father-son duo aims to create a fresh chapter in the Detroit techno legacy.
‘Melodica’ blends Kevin’s legendary sound with Dantiez’s contemporary approach, offering a distinct fusion of old-school and new-school Detroit techno.
Kevin Saunderson expressed his enthusiasm for this intergenerational collaboration. “Dantiez sounds like me. Working on this next generation of e-Dancer with him, I’m more passionate and energetic than ever,” Kevin shared. “This is about me, the pioneer, passing the torch to carry the legacy. I know it’s in Dantiez’s DNA. I know he’s ready.”
Dantiez, for his part, aims to honor his father’s sonic heritage while infusing it with his own modern sensibilities. “When people hear the new music, I hope they feel the elevation and the synergy between the original e-Dancer and the new iteration,” he stated.
