New York City native, Nightsteppaz, has made a name for himself in the electronic music scene. With years of experience producing music, the artist gained recognition after releasing his debut single ‘The Energy of The Room’ in collaboration with house music legend Roland Clark in 2017. This marked the launch of his own record label, Vibe Me To The Moon.

Since then, Nightsteppaz has been hard at work in the studio, collaborating with esteemed vocalists like Mr. V and Roland Clark on a number of new singles. As an A&R, he has signed music and remixes from industry icons such as Joeski, Robert Babicz, Franck Roger, Mihai Popoviciu, and Huxley, to name a few.
Nightsteppaz’s vast musical palette can be heard in his productions and the varied catalog of Vibe Me To The Moon Records. His sharp sense of rhythm and pitch stems from his experience playing drums and electric guitar. His musical influences span from 90s hip hop, which he listened to during his early years in NYC, to big room club music he discovered while clubbing during his Europe residency. He is also hugely inspired by the soulful side of deep house music from artists like Fred Everything and Miguel Migs.
EG recently caught up with Nightsteppaz to learn more about his latest collaborative EP, ‘House Music’s Still Alive,’ along with his upcoming projects.
EG: Hi Nightsteppaz! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. How have you been? Where are you right now?
Nightsteppaz: I’m great! I am in the state of Massachusetts, in the United States.
EG: First of all, congratulations on the release of your new collaborative EP, ‘House Music’s Still Alive’! You must be very excited to finally be able to share this one. What has the initial reception been like?
Nightsteppaz: Roland Clark tested out some of the tracks from the EP in Ibiza, but yeah we are very excited to finally release the EP. It’s been great! People have been digging the EP!
EG: So, what can your fans expect to find on ‘House Music’s Still Alive’? Is there a concept or emotional trigger to this new cut?
Nightsteppaz: ‘House’s Music’s Still Alive’ is an anthem about how house music and EDM are two different things! (both are great for that matter.) House music will survive the EDM trend.
EG: What was the process of linking up with Roland Clark for this one? How did ‘House Music’s Still Alive’ come about?
Nightsteppaz: I wrote ‘House Music’s Still Alive’ while living in Barcelona, Spain for the winter, so I think the track was inspired by the sun and palm trees, and the lifestyle fueled by that. Roland Clark and I have teamed up before to make music so the connection was very smooth when we collaborated for this track.

EG: This is out via your own Vibe Me To The Moon Records. How did you go about deciding which artists would be a good fit for the remixes? What were your first impressions when listening to them for the first time?
Nightsteppaz: The track is an anthem so I had to ask Mr. V and Hauswerks to do remixes because they are such house music icons! I absolutely loved the remixes from Mr. V and Hauswerks – they really nailed it!
EG: By the way, how is Vibe Me To The Moon Records doing? What can we expect on that front for the second half of the year?
Nighsteppaz: as for Vibe Me To The Moon records, as always, we have a big pile of tracks and releases which we are excited to put out, the label is doing great, be on the lookout for a series of releases during the second half of 2023.
EG: Now, stepping away from the studio for a bit…Have you found any good books, movies, or albums lately that you’d recommend?
Nighsteppaz: I have been watching Beavis and Butthead episodes to keep the mood light in the studio.
EG: Can you share something personal with us only a few people know about?
Nighsteppaz: That I wanted to work in the music industry from age 16. I just love music and it was always my dream to do it professionally.

EG: What’s next for Nighsteppaz? Where can your fans catch you next? What new milestones are you looking forward to in 2023?
Nighsteppaz: The goal for Nightsteppaz in 2023 is to make a splash with new releases, and establish itself as one of the main artists on the label. The fans can catch Nighsteppaz on Beatport when the tracks are released.
EG: Thank you for your time, Nighsteppaz! We’re excited to see what’s in store for you. Take care!
Nighsteppaz: Great talking with you, cheers!
