Ana Sofiä, based in Vancouver, uses her creativity to design mystical experiences that encourage art, music, consciousness expansion, and empowerment through the creation of atmospheres that act as portals of high vibrational frequency. As the main conduit, she uses sound, intention, and her own energy to guide participants toward a deeper connection with their inner selves.
Her events and experiences are a way in which she shares her multiple passions as a service to humanity, collectively, artistically, freely, and joyfully. In the following interview, we discuss her latest work ‘Concepción’ EP as well as her musical experiences.

EG: Hi Ana Sofiä:! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. How have you been? Where are you based right now?
Ana Sofiä: Alo there! First of all, thank you so much for having me here… secondly, I am doing amazing, super happy, and grateful regarding the release of my first composition means a lot to me! I am based in Vancouver and Mexico… although my music journey has been developed mostly in Canada and right now I am expanding the magic to my home country as well.
EG: First of all, congratulations on the release of your new ‘Concepción’ EP on Motivant! You must be very excited. What has the initial reception been like? How do you feel about this one?
Ana Sofiä: Thank you so much, really appreciate that! And yeah, you’re right I am very excited actually… I feel as if it was all a dream, this is my first release ever and must confess it is the first composition I ever made in my life, I feel very appreciative of the fact that channeling my emotions and spirit through sound ended up like this! I just feel and know that this is the begging of a new era in my path, just as her name says… Conception in English is how I conceived the ability to express myself through the most magical conduit in existence which is music.
EG: And, what can your fans expect to find on ‘Concepción’? What is it that sets this one apart from the rest?
Ana Sofiä: people out there can expect to experience what a direct channeling from spirit sounds like… I do not get inspiration from other music in a literal way, of course, I listen to music all day but that has nothing to see with what I create, my compositions are literal translations of emotions coded into sonic frequencies… you guys can expect a sound journey that might pull you into a trance state and make you go deep within yourself and get empowered and motivated to create the reality you desire.
EG: Apart from being a producer, singer, and dancer, you’re also a full-time healer, right? What does this entail exactly?
Ana Sofiä: Well, to be honest, I don’t love the ¨healer¨ title… let’s say I am a conduit of high frequencies & awareness and I can transmit that through sound, guided meditations, movement flows, dance, touch, or even a conversation… I cannot fully explain why is this but I will just say that the ones who attend my gigs, events, movement classes, my mentorship programs, or even the closest people to me definitely begin a consciousness expansion and a beautiful evolution, spiraling up process… I am full-time assisting others in their evolution process in order to step out of the victim zone and enter the creator realm… because let’s be real, we are creators of our own reality and whatever you’re not happy with you created it on some level.
EG: And how does your work as a healer permeate your musical creations? Does it change the way you approach music when compared to most of your counterparts?
Ana Sofiä: Wow! Thanks for asking that… As I mentioned before I am here for assisting humanity towards their highest potential and music is the most magnificent conduit for that… on every beat I create I imprint intention upon each sonic frequency, and when the listener plays my compositions that frequency will instantly be alchemized in a subconscious way in order to unlock the power within… I approach music as the purest way I can translate and imprint high frequencies in a rapid, beautiful, and artistic way… The world we live in is pretty messed up so this is almost like a *break in case of emergency* tactic to elevate the frequency of humanity and step out of the hell-like reality humans are going through and have experienced for so long. THE TIME TO BREAK THE PATTERN IS NOW.

EG: So, how and when did you first come across electronic dance music? What was it that caught your attention about it?
Ana Sofiä: Summer 2021 was a cathartic moment in my life, I went to a forest rave in British Columbia to support Wildred, my only DJ friend at the time, by this point I had no clue about electronic music, this was my very first encounter with her and something magical happened… I was able to enter into a trance state through specific dance movements that propelled the frequency of the space to be elevated… at first, I thought it was just in my head but then I realized all the crowd and even the DJ was on the same wave-length that I was so we where all creating almost like an energetic portal off bliss, magic, and ecstasy.
EG: And when did you decide to give it a go yourself? Why did you start producing and DJing? Are those reasons still valid today?
Ana Sofiä: Well this is the continuation of the story I just told you… after a couple of raves that I assisted to, DJs would ask me to come to their sets to elevate the frequency and make people dance so at that moment I realized that being behind the decks was next and then I was able to elevate the frequency with my own music which was way more efficient and more ecstasy and bliss where propelled… after that I questioned myself… What would happen if I create every single sound? And producing came to play in November 2022 and was pretty much the best decision of my life, now I am able to create portals of activation and elevation with my music!
EG: How do you keep entertained when not in the studio? Have you checked out any good movies, series, books, or albums you’d recommend?
Ana Sofiä: I have my own business: HEKA which is the extension of myself converted into experiences, I host ceremonialists and ritualistic parties in Vancouver promoting art, design, fashion, and the best sonic experience and energy so HEKA keeps me busy. I curate night events and also wellness experiences where I teach conscious movement, and offer ecstatic dance and other magical aspects. I do not watch any movies or series… I read but I mostly write… I discovered that all the information and everything I’m looking for is already within myself so writing is the perfect way to imprint that information, although I will recommend you the book that marked the beginning of my deep remembrance process: “The four agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz.
EG: Can you tell us something about you that very few people know about?
Ana Sofiä: What I just mentioned in the interview is something that just my best friends know, so I guess that’s a pretty big one right there!
EG: What’s next for Ana Sofiä? What particular milestones are you looking forwards to this 2023? Where can your fans catch you next?
Ana Sofiä: To keep it up with releases, expanding my voice so consciousness does through HEKA… I have lots of surprises coming soon but would not be a surprise if I tell you now. You can catch me next at the Shinkai in Cancún on April 3 & 4th.
