Hernan Cattaneo announces ‘Future Memories’ live show

At the Teatro Gran Rex in Buenos Aires.

After the critical success of Hernan Cattaneo’s ‘Connected’ series of shows at the iconic Teatro Colon, the Argentine maestro has unveiled the next step in his live show concepts with ‘Future Memories’. The live show has been confirmed for September 18th and 19th, with tickets already sold out. New dates are expected to be announced soon.

‘Due to all the restrictions that exist in Argentina and the fact that the audience does not have the possibility to dance, I was not satisfied with the idea of putting music in a DJ plan, like at a party but with all the people seated,’ says Cattaneo to Electronic Groove. ‘We talked a lot with Cruz, my manager, and one day we said: if those are the rules, then let’s go to a theater and do a Live performance.’

‘That’s when we got together with Oliverio & Baunder, and we started to imagine a show playing live music playing only tracks from our repertoire, like an electronic band and inviting some friends to join us on stage. We put together a tracklist, we re-edited it several times from end to end, and then we began to see how to present it in a theater as is the Gran Rex. The result is called ‘Future Memories’ and we are very much looking forward to doing it in September in Buenos Aires.’ further explains the Argentine about his new concept.

The new presentation will be held at the Teatro Gran Rex, in Buenos Aires, with Buena Productora set to take over the production of the event.  Revered for its impeccable acoustics, the landmark venue has even hosted presentations by artists such as Bob Dylan, Muse, and Devendra Banhart.
