Acclaimed two-time Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer has just shared the news of his forthcoming double LP, ‘Hans Zimmer LIVE’. The new record will be out on March 3rd,2023 and is already available for pre-order via Sony Classical.
‘Hans Zimmer LIVE’ is set to feature over 2 hours of new reimagined arrangements of some of Zimmer’s most popular compositions and was recorded live during his 2022 European spring tour.
“I simply wanted to produce the best album,” Zimmer says, who recorded ‘Hans Zimmer LIVE’ like a studio production over 10 nights, spending weeks mixing the album with his friend and producer, Stephen Lipson. “I wanted to create an opportunity for the music to breathe a little differently, in its own context. For this adventure, I am thrilled to have been joined by the greatest possible team of collaborators.”
In line with the news, the composer also shared ‘The Last Samurai Suite’, the first single from the upcoming ‘Hans Zimmer LIVE’ double LP.
