Tahliah Debrett Barnett, best known as the interdisciplinary artist FKA Twigs, has shared her first mixtape ever with the release of ‘CAPRISONGS’. Her new musical outing follows up on 2019’s ‘Magdalene’, and is her debut release for Atlantic Records.
Steering away from ‘Magdalene’ and its moody sentiments that were fuelled by a very public break up, ‘CAPRISONGS’ leaves the skittering beats and razor-sharp vocals behind in favor of a scrapbook-like pop creation that draws from hip hop, dancehall, drum’n’bass, and more, charged with high-flying frequencies.
