Melbourne-based artist and music producer, Luca Pascucci, known by his stage name Eli, recently announced plans for a new five-track EP set for release this August 2024. His latest single, ‘Opening/Track ID’, is now available across various music platforms through Mammal Sounds Records, offering fans a preview of what to expect from the EP.
‘Opening/Track ID’ was born from several spontaneous jam sessions at a friend’s house. Inspired by Scan’s ‘Bees’, the artist strayed from traditional songwriting norms, choosing a more dynamic and improvisational style instead. This rhythmically complex and energetic piece showcases the Eli brand, combining pulsating electronic beats, modern club-oriented production, and insightful lyrics.
The lyrics explore Pascucci’s personal journey through music creation, tackling the inherent uncertainties of the creative process and the daunting task of venturing into unknown territory.
Along with the EP announcement, Eli is scheduled to perform at MISCELLANIA on June 14th, sharing the stage with other artists like Merdeze, DJ Lux, Chaotic Good, Jungist, and Primary Thug. Grab your tickets here.
