Sandbox Festival, a leading underground music event in Egypt, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in El Gouna, Red Sea, from May 16-18th, 2024.
Founded by Nacelle, the festival has continually promoted the local music scene, providing diverse musical experiences. This year, it features an eclectic mix of artists, including world-renowned Dixon, DJ Holographic, DJ Tennis, Hunee, Paul Kalkbrenner, TSHA, Traumer, and Paula Tape, and regional talents such as Akladios, Aly B, Aly Goede, Aroussi, Gawdat, Gazbee B2B Talaia, Hermit B2B Joey, Hot Oasis, Husa & Zeyada (Live), Jess, Misty, Nova Retra, and more.
Reflecting on Sandbox’s journey, co-founder Tito El Kachab said, “It’s honestly been surprising and humbling that we’ve been able to build such a globally recognized festival right here in Egypt. My favourite aspect of the festival is that we are able to present so many different sounds in one line-up and have a crowd that appreciates it. Sandbox really is about stripping down the essence of it all: music and people.”
The festival is set in the beautiful resort town of El Gouna. Attendees can enjoy activities such as kite surfing, desert trips, and cultural hotspots, in addition to the music.
