Dysart is an artist who first came onto our radar following a release on Dense & Pika’s label Kneaded Pains, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover his excellent follow up released via Carl Cox’s Intec.
Intec has over the decades proven to be a label with an ear for fresh talent often spotting artists early in their career who on any occasion go onto big things, and with ‘Dysart’ already having a confirmed second EP on Kneaded Pains plus music forthcoming on Phobiq, it appears they have once again discovered a diamond in the rough.
Also running a London based commercial music studio called Scrutton Street Studios, Dysart is the artist alias of Matt Tanner, and his two track EP on Intec is a well-produced release of club focused techno.
Each of the tracks have a dark sound and heavy percussion with a groove that is designed to cause maximum impact when played to a dance floor. The first track ‘Forza’ has a fiery acid line, and the second track ‘Beyond Reason’ is more atmospheric with some great synth textures.
The release has no doubt been heavily supported by Carl Cox, and it would be a surprise if there wasn’t a follow up on Intec, as in our opinion it’s a more than a solid outing from an exciting new talent.
Dysart’s ‘Forza’ is now available on Intec Digital. Grab your copy here.
