He was 35 years old.

The electronic music world is mourning the sudden passing of Bertrand, professionally known as Mood Gorning, who has died at the age of 35. A cherished member of the Family Piknik collective since 2018, he was revered for his deep ethnic house style and humble approach to music.

After years of playing piano, guitar, clarinet, and drums, French-born Mood Gorning discovered his passion for DJing in 2013. He quickly became a main resident DJ at La Folie Douce, a prestigious resort in the French Alps. November 2021 saw the release of his ‘Txiki Pastela’ EP, featuring collaborations with singer Nyna Loren and remixes by artists like Off Night and label heads Tom Pooks & Joy Kitikonti. The EP received widespread support from international DJs including Danny Tenaglia, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Bog, Blond, Phonique, and Dave Seaman.
