Caribou returned to Central Park last Thursday, July 28th, for the City Parks Foundation Summerstage concert series after his last visit in 2015. Dan Snaith, aka, Caribou is touring in support of their fifth album ‘Suddenly’.

The night opened with electro-pop solo star Ela Minus, hailing from Bogota, Colombia, blending her techno punk riffs with fiery vocals amidst a flurry of black and white dada-esque visuals.

Conclave’s frontman Toribio rounded out the evening with stellar funk, house, and Latin DJ sets.

Caribou’s shows are notoriously packed full of live electro jams and riffs and this show was no different. From the sample-heavy days of 2010’s ‘Sun’, Dan now brings a more streamlined clarity to his compositions that explode with thick layers of sharp percussions played live.

Take a look at photos from the show and check out the remaining Caribou tour dates here.

Dan’s more club-forward alter-ego Daphni’s new LP, ‘Cherry’, will be out September 10th on Jiaolong. Pre-order your copy here.
