Anemone Recordings has seen some very special release since its inception back in 2014 – and this EP “Comet Temple 1” from Calculus is no exception. Marking the labels 25th release to date, the EP features 2 original tracks and a remix from Patrick Siech, who has of course been recognised for his releases on Drumcode.
The opening track “Comet Temple 1” brings blistering synth lines and thick analogue frequencies, its simple yet totally sublime and no doubt will be the kind of track to favour the likes of the Berghain regulars and artists including Ben Klock, Len Faki, Marcel Dettmann and Nina Kravitz.
Patrick Siech remixes the original track from this EP, and delivers a mind bending voyage his with his impeccable experimental techniques.
The EP shows great promise for the relatively new label.
