The latest release on Wind Horse Records comes from the hands of BiGz & Malkov in collaboration with Below Bangkok. The triad joins forces on their single ‘Eastern Lights’, also adding three interesting remixes from Asvajit, Kali. G, and Hamza.
Eastern Lights is a dubby and melodic deep tech production that presents a pleasant combination of hypnotic pads and stabs with middle-eastern inspired flutes and strings while maintaining a straightforward rhythmic groove rich in acoustic percussion loops.
Sri Lankan producer Asvajit shows his version of ‘Eastern Lights’ as a dreamy deep house after-hours type of tune driven by celestial pads, dominant hats and punchy kick.
Kali. G takes a steeper turn using a busy selection of tropical drums to form a potent tribal groove that becomes almost addictive due to its non-stop energy tailored to those high-octane dancefloor moments.
Last but not least, label founder Hamza renders his take on ‘Eastern Lights’ showing a darker side with a techno beat that carefully incorporates the ethnic melodic elements of the original as well as an inspiring vocal sample that is layered effortlessly over the vibe.
The EP is a representative vision of the global influence and fabric that bind the tapestry of music that’s released on Wind Horse Records.
