Beastie Boys are set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their acclaimed 1994 album ‘Ill Communication’ with a special edition, due on 26th July, 2024. This memorable album will be revived in a fully remastered format, catering to the digital era, and for nostalgia lovers, on cassette.
The vinyl variant, a 3xLP set, not only offers the complete album but an array of 12 bonus tracks. These tracks consist of rare pieces, B-sides, remixes, and a live version of ‘The Maestro’. The vinyl reissue is also expected to feature lenticular cover art and a slipcase.
Originally released in May 1994, ‘Ill Communication’ was the fourth studio album by the New York-based hip-hop ensemble. The album boasts hit singles like ‘Sabotage’ and ‘Get It Together’.
The reissue follows recent re-releases of other Beastie Boys’ albums, including ‘Hello, Nasty’ and ‘Check Your Head’. The 30th-anniversary edition of ‘Ill Communication’ further underscores the group’s substantial contribution to the ’90s music landscape.
