The event has sold out on the past five West Coast editions.
Atish recently announced that he will be taking his all night show to New York’s Lost Circus at Avant Gardner venue on Friday, February 22nd.
The Manjumasi label head shared some thoughts about this special evening:
“I’ve been producing my all night series for a couple years now, bringing it to New York for the first time this Friday night. The concept is that my best DJ sets tend to be my longest ones, and I find that when I produce my own events, I can control the experience like venue choice, layout, visual design, lighting, party hours, ticket prices…and for some cities, I can choose the sound system, bar experience, and even details like number of bathrooms.
When I’m able to pull all this together into a single event, it sets up the best possible experience that I can deliver to the audience, which is what it’s all about for me.
Looking back I’ve been really lucky with such a positive response on these. The 5 Atish All Night’s I did on the West Coast all sold out – and this had the added effect of having a very high-quality crowd: everyone on the dance floor had a specific intention to want to be there, which made for the best possible energy I could play for.
I waited a couple of years for just the right time and venue to bring this to my new hometown, New York. I played the Lost Circus on NYD for Cityfox and fell in love with the venue, so I worked with them to produce an Atish All Night there before it closes down in the Spring.”
