Allen & Heath and Pioneer come out with new mixers

Both leading brands just revealed their new mixers. Read below as we explore their latest features and technical properties.

Pioneer DJ DJM-450

This two-channel mixer inherits features and design elements from the DJM-900NXS2 mixer. It comes bundled with license keys for Rekordbox Dj and Rekordbox dvs so you can DJ with tracks stored on your PC/Mac when using turntables and Pioneer control vinyl.

Improved crossfader gives an accurate response and assured feel during complicated scratch techniques, adding a built-in sound card to plug your laptop in directly over USB. The gear includes Sound Colour FX and Beat FX with parameter control to add professional creative flair to your mixes through a 64-bit digital signal processor.

The mixes offers proper complement to  Pioneer’s PLX-1000 turntables and XDJ-700 media players, providing a a CDJ-style experience for under under US$ 800.

Allen & Heath Xone:PX5

This 4+1 channel mixer combines signature analogue Xone sound with leading digital connectivity. The built-in FX technology offers new levels of manipulation through simple hands-on control. Equipment comes with 3 band EQ on all channels and an intuitive layout.

The Send/Return feature allow users to connect external FX hardware with both Send/Return and Master Insert mode connections and equips Xone:PX5 for different setup scenarios.

Also the mixer let users connect their laptop or computer to the internal 20 channel 24bit 96kHz USB2 soundcard for easy integration into digital DJ workflows, plus plug n’ play connection via X:LINK to Xone:K series controllers for expanded MIDI control.

Crossfader has three switchable settings for blending or scratching styles and can be easily replaced or upgraded.

The Xone:PX5  will be available in October, pricing between US$ 1,299 and US$ 1,500. You can find more info here.
