Algoriddim recently announced the launch of a new version of its music mixing software, djay, which brings virtual reality (VR) to DJs using Apple’s latest Vision Pro VR headset.

Developed specifically for the VR/AR headset in close collaboration with Apple, the new version of Algoriddim djay offers a DJ booth experience, complete with dancing robots, 3D turntables, a mixer, gesture control for special effects, and more. One of the app’s standout features is its integration with Apple Music, allowing users to stream music directly from the cloud using its extensive library.

With Algoriddim djay, DJs can unleash their creativity using intuitive gestures, such as waving their hands across a 3D ‘X/Y/Z’ pad to add effects, and previewing songs by gesturing to their ear as if wearing headphones. The app also offers a unique ‘drag and drop’ feature, allowing users to select and place records from a floating record collection onto the turntable to start playing tracks.

The djay app is available as a free download from the app store, with the option to upgrade to a Pro subscription for £6.99 per month. As an added bonus, existing Apple Music users can enjoy a two-month free trial of Algoriddim djay Pro.
