Rotterdam and Ibiza-based artist Sharon Pieksma, also known as SHARE, has unveiled her latest release, the ‘Fire Walk’ EP. Now available via Oliver Koletzki’s label A Tribe Called Kotori, this work is a tangible reflection of her travels and the experiences she’s garnered along the way.
A year ago, SHARE was showcasing her talents at a festival in Africa. The unique beats and rhythms she discovered there served as the foundational elements of ‘Fire Walk’.
The EP kicks off with ‘Bubbles,’ a cut that draws in listeners with its layered percussion and catchy alto synth hook. It’s reminiscent of a dance festival concluding with a beautiful sunrise. Then is the title track, ‘Fire Walk,’ which is a fusion of rhythmic roots, entwined melodies, and the artist’s jazz piano skills.
