onedotsixtwo is delighted to welcome Australia’s Tristan Case back to the label for a solo EP, following on from his first excursion with us as one half of Case & Barlow, who joined us with ‘Dorse’ back in 2019 (ODST018). Tristan’s stunning original titled ‘Bubble Modulators’ is complimented by a fantastic Maximo Gambini & Q.A.T remix and our label boss, Tripswitch, turns in an epic breaks interpretation.
Tristan’s star has been in ascendance since he first joined us back in 2019, and he now revisits us with a stunning piece entitled ‘Bubble Modulators’. Based in Sydney, Australia’s Tristan Case is a long time resident of one of Australia’s premier festivals, Return to Rio, and has recently been releasing on respected labels such as Do Not Sit and Sound Avenue, with the formers release hitting number one on the overall Beatport release chart.
The original is an epic ride, with Tristan’s signature written all over it. Deep rolling bass, soaring keys and syncopated vocal cuts build, twist, and turn into an explosive breakdown, and out the other side to a thunderous finale. Argentina’s Maximo Gambini & Q.A.T make a welcome return to the label following their debut EP with us, Stochastic Process, in the summer of 2021, and give Bubble Modulators their unique treatment, taking the original and giving it a more subtle flowing feel while retaining its raw energy and the addition of a breakdown fit for the biggest of stages. Lastly, but certainly not least, our very own Tripswitch gives us a multi-layered atmospheric breaks remix, taking the deep progressive elements of the original and fusing them masterfully into a euphoric breaks crescendo.
