Toronto-based techno stalwart HNTR is releasing his second EP, titled Mind Games, via his own No Neon label on Wednesday, March 17.

The EP is a cerebral commentary on digital world we live in from HNTR’s technology-fueled moniker. HNTR beams his throbbing underground beats from inside the internet, and his Mind Games EP takes listeners on a self-aware walk through the cyber realm.

The EP concludes with “Infinity,” which under its swirling synth line lays a peak time techno rumbler all about questioning our existence in our current reality as the title line explains “you look up you see, infinity..”

HNTR is the underground moniker of the artist you may remember as Hunter Siegel.

HNTR has been DJing for more than 20 years, performing at festivals including Hard Summer, Holy Ship, Splash House, Electric Zoo, and opening for the likes of Deadmau5. He’s also been throwing sold-out shows in Toronto for five years via his event brand No Neon, where he specializes in booking rising artists like Rezz, Joyryde, and Matroda before they break.

“I was nearing completion on the EP, and it was kind of lacking the spacey techno edge the rest of my previous work had. The vocal had been kicking around in the studio in various forms, I really wanted the messaging about our perspective in a universal sense to be included. Finally, it came together with a melody I liked, what you hear was put together in a matter of days which is rare for me.” HNTR

Release Date: March 17th, 2021.
