The 63rd edition of the event was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On January 31st, the 2021 Grammy awards ceremony would take place, however, the date was changed to March 14th due to the rapid increase in coronavirus cases in Los Angeles and California.

‘After thoughtful conversations with health experts, our host, and artists scheduled to perform, we have decided to reschedule the 63rd annual Grammy Awards for Sunday, March 14, 2021’, they indicated from the Recording Academy, institution that oversees the ceremony. ‘Nothing is more important than the health and safety of those in our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly in producing the show’, they added.
