Derun Feat. Qiyans Krets – Yedi Kule (Re:Imagined by Satori) – Sol Selectas

Sol Selectas give us a taste of the forthcoming Re:Imagined album by Satori.

Satori is one of Holland’s most talented artists. Known for his stunning live sets, he has a mystical style of deep house with world music influences and a strong sense of melody.

Also popular within the same style of music is US label Sol Selectas, so it comes to us as no surprise that Satori has teamed up with the label for a special album release.

Being primarily a live act except for remixes, Satori only plays tracks that he has made himself. It is no secret that Satori is a huge fan of Sol Selectas, and paying homage to the label, he has picked out a selection of the labels tracks to rework for use in his live sets.

Selecting tracks by artists ranging from Namito to the label boss Sabo, the album is anticipated to be a celebration of Sol Selectas, and the perfect chance for fans to revisit some of their favorites with an updated version lovingly made by the Dutch artist.

Building towards the release is a single taken from the album which is a reimagined version of a track by Derun called ‘Yedi Kule’, that is available in stores now prior to the album’s release on the 9th of October.

Transforming the earthy groove or the organic original into an epic masterpiece, Satori’s synths add extra layers of melody that compliment the core elements of the original. Switching up a gear in the breakdown, a delightful piano section introduces an enchanting change of mood where the flute from the original hypnotizes us like a desert snake charmer hypnotizing a king cobra.

Being only a single track, it is hard to say much more about the music itself, other than it’s got us excited to hear the full album in all its glory.

The release is already available. Grab your copy here.
